ఆనందాన్ని ఇచ్చే శివానందలహరి శ్లోకం

 శంకరులు శివానందలహరి చేస్తూ ఇలా ప్రార్థిస్తారు:   

కంచిత్కాలము మామహేశ భవతః

పాదారవిందార్చనైః కంచిద్ధ్యానసమాధిభిశ్చ

‌‌నతిభిః కంచిత్కథాకర్ణనైః ।

కంచిత్కంచిదవేక్షణైశ్చ నుతిభిః

కంచిద్దశామీదృశీం యః ప్రాప్నోతి ముదా

త్వదర్పితమనా జీవన్ సముక్తః ఖలు " - 81

" ఓ గౌరీవల్లభా - కొద్దిసేపు నీ పాదకమలాలను ఆరాధించి, కొద్దిసేపు నీ ధ్యానంలో గడిపి, కొద్దిసేపు నీకు నమస్కరిస్తూ, కొంతసేపు నీ కధాశ్రవణం చేస్తూ, కొద్ది సమయం నీ దర్శనం చేస్తూ, కొంతసేపు నిన్ను స్తుతిస్తూ, కొన్ని క్షణాలు మనస్సు నీపై ఉంచే వారు జీవన్ముక్తు లవుతారు . 

“O Lord, beloved of Gauri—
if only for a little while I worship Your lotus feet,
for a few moments I sink into meditation on You,
for some time I bow in reverence,
for a while I listen to stories of Your glory,
now and then I behold You,
and at times I sing Your praise—

if a person spends even these scattered moments,
offering the mind again and again unto You,
and lives with that quiet joy—
such a one, even while living,
is truly liberated.”
